Delete your account
You can delete your About HIM account at any time, from inside the app. It takes two taps and happens immediately — there’s no waiting period and no way to undo it.
In the app
- Open About HIM and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Scroll to “Delete my account”.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then choose “Delete everything”.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to the account, permanently:
- Your account and sign-in credentials, including any PIN
- Every Discipleship Log entry, with its notes, scriptures and reflections
- Any entries you shared, so the links stop working
- Your reading preferences, bookmarks and last reading position
- Your notification subscriptions, so nothing more is sent to your devices
If you reported content, the report itself is kept so it can still be reviewed, but your account is unlinked from it and any copy of your own shared content is removed. Nothing left behind identifies you.
What is kept, and for how long
Deletion is immediate in the app and in our database. Backup copies held by our hosting and database providers are overwritten within 30 days, after which nothing of your account remains anywhere.
Reports of content you flagged are kept so they can still be reviewed, with your account unlinked from them. We keep no other record of you.
